INR payout API to any Indian bank account

Pay out to Indian bank accounts by account number and IFSC. The balance is debited when you submit, transfers pass a review step, and the callback reports success, failure or a reversal — with the amount and fee refunded automatically when a transfer does not land.

Payout lifecycle

A payout is not a fire-and-forget call. It moves through five states, and two of them return money to you.

StatusMeaningWhat you do
0Under reviewNothing — wait for the callback
1ProcessingNothing — wait for the callback
2SuccessClose the order, keep the UTR
3FailedAmount + fee refunded automatically; credit your customer ledger
4ReversedConfirmed but not delivered; amount + fee refunded automatically

Request shape

POST /api/submit/submitPayout with user_id, merchant_order_no, amount, beneficiary name, bank_card_no, ifsc, callback_url and sign.

Payout signature is md5(user_id + merchant_order_no + amount + key) — four values, no pay_type, no callback_url. Getting that wrong is the most common integration error.

Balance model

getBalance returns three numbers: balance (available), frozen_balance (payouts in flight) and other_frozen_balance (amounts held for disputes). Submit uses available balance, so a shortfall returns an insufficient-balance error rather than queueing the transfer.

Reversal is not a failure to retry blindly

Status 4 means the transfer was confirmed at our end but never landed in the beneficiary account, and the funds are already back in your balance. Retrying without checking the beneficiary details is how duplicate payouts happen — verify the account number and IFSC first, then submit a new order with a new merchant_order_no.

FAQ

Common questions

Which banks can I pay out to?

Any Indian bank account reachable by IFSC, including major public and private banks. If a beneficiary bank rejects the account details, the transfer fails and refunds automatically.

How is the payout fee calculated?

3% of the amount plus ₹6 per transfer. For a ₹1,000 payout the fee is ₹30 + ₹6 = ₹36, returned in the fee field on submission and repeated in the callback.

When is the balance debited?

On submit, together with the fee. If you do not have enough available balance the request is rejected and nothing is debited.

What is a reversal (status 4)?

A confirmed transfer that did not reach the beneficiary. The amount and fee are returned to your balance and the callback carries status 4 with an explanation.

Do you support bulk payouts?

Yes — submit one order per beneficiary with a unique merchant_order_no. Talk to us on Telegram about rate and throughput for high-volume disbursement.

Is the payout callback signed the same way as collection?

Yes: md5(platform_order_no + merchant_order_no + amount + fee + status + key), over the raw values you received.
